Hanxiao Wang
Hanxiao will be joining our research group in Fall 2025 as a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Xi'an Jiaotong University and master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Through the application of deep learning to the bubble detection in water electrolysis, she has uncovered a ubiquitous unbalanced mass transfer pattern. Moving forward, she is determined to explore the vast potential of artificial intelligence in information mining for 4D-STEM and the design of metal catalysts. Moreover, just as the meaning behind her name suggests, she loves smiling.
Luffy the Cat
Luffy is a domestic tabby cat who has served as a Moral Support Officer since October 2024. He born as a stray cat around September 2022 in Southern California and later came into the possession of the Mission Viejo Animal Service Center. In 2023, he was adopted and began his research journey in Zang Research Group. His research interests include bird watching, insect catching, and testing furniture for napping quality.
